Quality English hall wardrobe attributed to Liberty & Company of London. Vintage hinges marked L & Co. Retailers tag on reverse reads: "Bennett Bros. Birmingham". A very interesting design including a leaded glass door, hammered strap hardware, Newlyn style metalwork panel hammered in relief as a flowering plant, enclosing coat hooks, glove box & mirror. Refinished. Measures 70" x 22"" high. The dimensions of the wood is impressive, the sides measure 1 1/8" thick and are enhanced by the choice quarter sawed white oak. Circa 1880 to 1900.
